Summary: The New York Times bestselling author of The Valentine’s Arrangement continues her sizzling series with a new novel of a plan that goes awry—in the arms of a soldier…

Picking the wrong men is a talent Meagan Mitchell has perfected. She’s sweet, confident, beautiful—and single. With her thirtieth birthday sneaking up on her, she needs a new plan. No more Mr. Wrongs or Mr. Bads, it’s time to find Mr. Safe…

Army Captain, Reed Porter, lives for the thrill—he’s an Airborne Jumpmaster with a rush addiction. He’s sexy and playful, and he quickly tempts Meagan with his rich Southern drawl and sinful looks. But slowing down and settling down are not in his agenda, making him exactly the type of man Meagan wants to avoid…

As their undeniable attraction heats up, Meagan has to decide if she’s willing to risk everything on a chance at love with a reckless charmer. Is she brave enough to bet her future—and her heart—on Mr. Thrill? Or will Reed finally learn that the feeling of a safe landing is just as addicting as the rush of the fall?

Review: I fell in love with Kelsie Leverich's writing in A Beautiful Distraction, which is the third book in the Hard Feelings series. Even though I hadn't read the first two, I absolutely loved the romance between the two characters. While Reed and Meagan are definitely different than Rafe and Fallon, they're just as lovable.

With her 30th birthday creeping up, Meagan is ready to settle down and finally find Mr. Right, not Mr. Fun-For-Right-Now. So when she moves with her best friend, she knows that her sexy new neighbor, who just so happens to be the man she had one night of fun with 8 years ago, is not the man to get involved with. But Reed is very intrigued by Meagan and can't get her sharp tongue and whit out of his head. While Reed is a good temporary thrill, Meagan knows he can't give her what she wants. That doesn't mean, though, that he's not what she needs…

There's just something about the men in the Hard Feelings novels that just grab you and don't let you go. Seriously, even though Reed is more into fun than a serious relationship, his southern drawl and passion are impossible not to love. He is so playful and really keeps a girl on her toes, especially Meagan. Even though Meagan is used to dealing with military men as she's grown up with them all her life, Reed is definitely a challenge. And she just can't seem to stay away.

While their relationship was all fun and games in the beginning, things turned pretty serious and emotional very fast near the end of the novel. Wow, it was definitely intense and Meagan's life is no walk in the park. But that girl is so strong and everything she goes through shows her what really matters in life and tests her trust in Reed. Her friends were great supporters too, and I love how I got to see how Rafe was before he fell for Fallon in the next book. Eva, Meagan's roommate, is a feisty one and I loved how she always had Meagan's back.

It's no surprise that I loved this book. And even though I'm reading them out of order (first #3, then #2), they can be loved both as stand alone novels and as part of the series. I can't wait to get my hands on the first novel and read Kale's story. With headstrong women and sweet and totally sexy guys, you can't go wrong with this series.
