Book Review: Lady Of Seduction by Laurel McKee

Summary: Lady Caroline Blacknall is used to being her reserved self, often found with her nose buried in a book, but now is not that time. Caroline finds herself journeying to Muirin Inish, an island of the coast of Ireland, in search of a book held by the very man that has haunted her thoughts since the last time they met. Sir Grant Dunmore's life was turned upside down by the Blacknall women, so he never thought he would see them again, especially the enticing Caroline Blacknall. But when they meet again, Caroline enters Grant's life at the most dangerous of times. Grant's secret plot to free Ireland forever could fail miserably, but as Grant and Caroline spend more time together, Grant finds himself not caring for Ireland's safety as much as the safety of the beautiful woman who has managed to come into his arms and steal his heart yet again.

Review: As the second Irish romance I've ever read, I'm starting to think I've been missing out on an amazing genre! I was really intrigued by the opening scene, when Caroline's ship is caught in a terrible storm and she is thrown out to sea. But of course, the heroine can't die in the first chapter, so the handsome Grant Dunmore is there to save her! And I fell in love with Grant from the first moment he was mention. He is a brooding, angry Irish man who has made many mistakes in his past. Despite trying to make up for his mistakes, he still falls for Caroline and is the sweetest gentleman to her. Though I haven't read the first two books of this series when Caroline and Grant first met, Lady of Seduction does a fine job recapping their history together so that readers aren't confused. What I liked about Caroline and Grant's relationship is that they're always there to save each other, it's not just about the man saving the damsel in distress. They are so good for each other that I just couldn't get enough of their relationship. The only thing that bugged me about this book is that there were some slow parts and I got really confused in the war talk parts. The different sides and people in the battles were hard to keep track of. But I really enjoyed the romance and relationship that Caroline had with the handsome Irish lad that I could only dream of as being my own. I seriously have to start reading more romance books in this setting because I once I crack open the book, I can't help but devour every word of them! ***Enter for a chance to win Lady of Seduction along with two other books right here!
